Nutrient Booster: Apples + Chia Fruit Spread

Apples may add a delicious, fruity flavor to this Roast Turkey Breast dinner but they are also teeming with heart-health benefits. Ever heard the saying “An Apple a day keeps the doctor away”? Well, apples have actually been linked to a lower risk of heart disease. Apples are high in fiber which can help lower blood cholesterol and keep your heart happy. Apples also contain polyphenols that have antioxidant effects. One of the polyphenols in apples is a flavonoid called epicatechin that can lower blood pressure. So many reasons to have an apple a day!

Rather than adding sugars or sweeteners to the Berry Chutney, we added World of Chia Fruit Spread! We chose the Blackberry flavor that pairs perfectly with the sweet apple and savory turkey. This chia fruit spread contains chia seeds instead of industrially processed pectin! They also only contain 4 ingredients. Our choice: blackberries, chia seeds, agave nectar and lime juice! Such a simple and delicious way to sweeten this dish.
